On the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Niger, the President of the Republic, Head of State, HE Issoufou Mahamadou, has presided in Tillabéri (situated 113 km northwest of the capital Niamey on the River Niger), Wednesday December 18th, 2019, an imposing military and civil parade, in the presence in particular of the Presidents of Burkina Faso, HE Roch Marc Christian Kaboré and of Ghana HE Nana Akufo Addo.

This year, the 61st anniversary of the Republic of Niger comes a week after the tragedy of Inates where our valiant soldiers died in honor and dignity, causing great losses to their aggressors. The attack by Inates and those who preceded it, reminds us that Niger is at war, at war with a treacherous enemy, an enemy without faith or law, an enemy who does not even respect the rules of religion which they claims to belong to.
